Encouraging innovation at the inaugural Construction Summit

On the same day, RICS also held the inaugural International Whole-Life Construction Consultation Summit in Shanghai, where 600 industry elites gathered to focus on the improvement of the construction industry.

Last year, the State Council released the 'Suggestions on promoting the sustainable and healthy development of the construction industry', initiating the concept of Whole-life construction consultation. The term mandates the management and control of the whole life of construction on a dynamic, quantified, scientific and systematic basis. Taking actions in this way benefits the integration of industry resources and the life-cycle extension of the construction industry chain to stimulate project innovation.

"As one of the first companies to promote the concept of whole-life construction consultation, we are glad to cooperate with RICS and other colleagues in this industry to push the development of standards and practices in China. We want to wholeheartedly assist all Chinese companies to achieve innovative transformation." Mr Wang Hong Yi, President, Chenyue Project Consultancy Group
