Applications are invited from all RICS professionals in the UK & Ireland who are interested in joining the RICS UK&I World Regional Board. We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with current or recent experience across the Quantity Surveying, Facilities Management, Project Management, Rural or Residential sectors. Members practicing within the following regions or nations would also be advantageous but not essential; Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales. Republic of Ireland or the North & Midlands.
The World Regional Boards, of which the UK and Ireland Board is one, plays a crucial role in informing the overall strategy of RICS reporting into the Management Board which has delegated authority from the profession’s Governing Council to develop and oversee the performance of the global business plan. The Board will contribute to the promotion of growth in market recognition of RICS standards, provide market insight and intelligence to inform overall strategy, enhance the recognition and profile of RICS throughout the UK&I as well as promote local member engagement.
Meetings are usually held quarterly, and the maximum number of days’ time commitment expected of board members is six per year.
Non-executive members drawn from the RICS membership are not remunerated at present. All non-executive members will be reimbursed for expenses incurred in the performance of his/her duties in accordance with the RICS Expenses Policy.
