The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure. They recognise outstanding achievement, teamwork and companies.
The inaugural RICS Awards South Asia will bestow both local and global recognition. They recognise industry leading achievements and demonstrate the upholding of the highest standards of professionalism and ethics by individuals and teams across the built and natural environments.
We invite individuals, teams and organisations from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Nepal to nominate their achievements, professionalism and ethics to the world stage and showcase the best of the built environment from South Asia.
All shortlisted nominations will be promoted across the APAC region and winners will be showcased as the top performers in South Asia. Be sure to submit your nominations in 2022 to share your story and achievements with the industry.

Shortlisted candidates will be announced on 17 October 2022.
The winners will be announced in December 2022.
We are hopeful that we will be able to conclude the 2022 program with an in-person dinner in Mumbai, India. We will be monitoring any changes to local conditions and releasing details closer to the time.

|
This award is for affordable housing projects as defined under various government schemes. The evaluation for this award will be based on innovative design, spaces, amenities and value for residents. The project should be completed in the 2020 or 2021 calendar year. |

Awarded to a contractor or client for timely and cost-effective completion of large infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, ports, airports, etc. The parameters of excellence include quality, safety, speed, cost effectiveness and value engineering. |

This award recognises municipal bodies who showcase excellence in the cleanliness, safety and security of their city. The parameters include solid waste management, sanitation, health, accident control and people movement. |

This award is to recognise builders and developers who have delivered projects in time and to specifications deriving high customer satisfaction. The project needs to have been completed in the 2020 or 2021 calendar year. The projects should cater to middle and high income group categories.

Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the Year |
This award demonstrates excellence in the application of corporate social responsibility values and ideas to create better places and spaces for the community, the environment and future generations. Facilities Management Team of the Year |
Awarded to a company, team or consortia responsible for the delivery of outstanding facilities management services. These services might ensure functionality, comfort, safety and/or efficiency of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and/or technology. The award is open to facilities management service providers or teams within property owner organisations who are delivering services in-house.

Project Management Team of the Year |
Acknowledging companies, teams, in-house teams, the service provider or contractors who were engaged in project management of a construction project during 2021. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellence in such areas as quality control, time management, budget control, procurement and commercial management to deliver the outcome sought by the client.

Construction Professional of the Year |
Presented to an outstanding individual for excellence in quantity surveying, project management, land or building surveying or building control. The Construction Professional of the Year award recognises achievement in construction projects during 2021. The successful candidate will demonstrate how their work has combined the highest professional, ethical and industry standards to deliver superior results and outcomes for clients and stakeholders. |

Property Professional of the Year |
Presented to an outstanding individual involved in valuation, property management, facilities management, valuation or acquiring/selling or leasing a commercial, industrial or retail property. The Property Professional of the Year award recognises achievement in property projects during 2021. The selected professional will represent the highest professional ethics, demonstrate their use of standards in their day to day activities and embody the excellence expected of the recipient of such a prestigious award.

Young Achiever of the Year
|
The future of our profession rests on the shoulders of emerging professionals. The Young Achiever of the Year Award acknowledges one outstanding individual who has achieved excellence in their field. The individual selected will embody the highest standards of professionalism, be a role-model for their peers and be capable of making an outstanding contribution to the profession in the course of their future career.
The individual must be 35 years old or younger during the 2021 calendar year (i.e. must be born on or after 1 January 1986).

Woman of the Built Environment Award |
The woman of the built environment award recognises the outstanding contributions and achievements of senior women to our industry. Lifetime Achievement Award |
Recognising commitment to RICS and the wider profession, the Lifetime Achievement Award is the most prestigious award for built environment professionals. |
The presentation of this award is subject to the determination of a panel that the recipient is worthy of this significant honour.

Nomination fee
A fee of INR 3000 + GST(18%) will be collected for each nomination and is non-refundable. This nomination fee includes two tickets to the South Asia Awards Dinner in December.
