How to get involved with standards development

There are various ways you can get involved and help us develop our standards.

Our Sector Advisory Groups, Forums and Roundtables discuss a range of topics across the surveying industry.

If you join our Expert Working Groups and Consultations, you can help RICS draft new and updated standards.

If you want to be involved, please email us using your preferred email address, at standards@rics.org with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your areas of interest and/or how you can contribute
  • A link to your professional profile e.g. LinkedIn address

We will use the information you provide to email you with opportunities to get involved, as they arise.  You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by emailing us at standards@rics.org . Further details of how we use, hold and store your information, and your legal rights, can be found in our Privacy Policy.

We are keen to attract an inclusive and diverse range of stakeholders. RICS is an equal opportunity organisation committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage qualified and suitably experienced people from a wide array of backgrounds to get involved because we know that it’s the differences in our people that make the difference to our performance. New thinking and ideas are crucial to technical standards capable for adoption and application in a modern and fast-changing world.

We look forward to engaging with you.
