Real estate industry is evolving and the economic, business, technological, social and environmental drivers of change have huge implications on real estate. Acknowledgement of the scope of change leads to the conclusion that we need new, innovative
approaches to the design, delivery, occupation and management of real estate. In the RICS Insight Paper entitled ‘The Age of Unreal Estate’, six themes for the necessary changes can be identified, namely: customer-centric real estate; people-centric real estate; data-centric real estate; responsible real estate; real estate as a resource and commodity real estate. With this in mind, RICS recently published IBOS (International Building Operation Standard) which goes beyond the traditional ways of assessing building performance and adds another dimension – user experience to the equation.
Join the panel discussion on how the industry is taking a broader approach to decision making in the way property is used and managed and explore innovative solution driving change in the built environment, moving from a building to a people focussed approach.
