V B Evans & Co

I enjoy being a member of the RICS Northern Ireland regional board as it allows me to be part of future decision making that directly affects RICS members in Northern Ireland.

I also have the opportunity to engage with other board members and get a feel for the pulse of construction generally.

Andrea Forsyth

Andrea Forsythe MRICS

Principal Quantity Surveyor

Northern Ireland Civil Service

I have always been an active member in the RICS. I was MATRICS chairman for two years, an APC Doctor and attended construction group meetings

As a female in this profession I have always felt a responsibility to promote the profession to females, who are still disproportionately under-represented in Quantity Surveying.

Although being a female in a male dominated profession has had its challenges over the years I absolutely love Quantity Surveying and would highly recommend to anyone who is considering it as a career choice.

It was this passion for diversity that drove me to joining the RICS NI Board, I felt that the RICS Board would be a great resource and platform.

Carolyn Brady BSc (Hons) MRICS

Associate Building Surveyor

Rider Levett Bucknall

I’ve always had a strong passion for the surveying industry and am a keen advocate of the profession. I currently undertake a number of voluntary roles within industry including acting as a STEM Ambassador, APC Counsellor and Mentor. I’m also an APC Assessor on the RICS Building Surveying Pathway and have assessed for various regions throughout the UK. In 2020, I was privileged to be nominated and shortlisted for ‘Mentor of the Year’ in the Young Surveyor of the Year Awards.

Being a member of the RICS Northern Ireland Regional Board allows me to fulfil further goals in promoting the profession, specifically Building Surveying. Its incredibly rewarding knowing that I can help inspire the next generation of surveyors, whilst contributing to the ongoing success of the RICS within the local region.
