The Standards and Regulation Board is delighted to officially welcome four new members from multiple regions worldwide: Carmen Wee from Singapore, Deborah Nicol-Omeruah from Nigeria as independent members of the board, and Dele Oyekanmi FRICS from Saudi Arabia, Dr Diane A Dumashie FRICS as professional members of the board.

The RICS is delighted with the success of the launch of the first RICS Future of Construction in Hong Kong Conference on 29 April and believes it will be the start of many. Guest speakers from Arcadis Hong Kong, HKGBC, Savills, Gammon Construction Ltd, Autodesk, CBRE etc. shared their insights and initiatives on ESG, new technology, and carbon reporting. It was thoroughly engaging, and the feedback has been incredibly positive so RICS is excited to develop this new product in the region and believes it will continue to achieve an impactful role for the surveying and construction community. He has held a number of senior roles in the property industry. David was qualified as RICS professional member in 1992 and later elected as a Fellow Member in 2012. David has an extensive network of valuers, agents, research firms and key market participants and is actively involved in the property profession on a number of levels including member of RICS Governing Council. His profile in the industry has resulted in influence and respect amongst peers, stakeholders and property professionals worldwide.

Prem Kumar has been involved in the real estate industry as a consultant for 35 years. His primary area of expertise is property valuation whereby valuation advise provided by him during his professional career exceeds US$500 billion. His other areas of professional expertise include asset management, research and consultancy and marketing. He is currently Chairman of the RICS South East Asia Advisory Board besides senior roles for various other regulatory boards, professional institutions, expert panels and judging panels. He is widely acknowledged as a full-fledged industry expert which has culminated in his recent move to the corporate sector, assuming a senior role for a high profile public listed property development company.
