Data & Tech, Thought Leadership & Analysis

RICS

We have already started working with our first Tech Partners to develop content and join them in industry discussion. Here are the first outputs from our work together:

1. My webinar discussion with Daniel Norman at Aprao where we discussed the story of tech adoption so far in property, how RICS have been promoting tech adoption, and what trends and predictions to consider for the future:

RICS & Aprao discuss the future of tech in property

2. My panel session from the recent Oxford Real Estate Conference with Andrew Baum of the Saïd Business School and Titus Albrecht of realxdata:

Oxford Real Estate Conference

3. My conversation with Grace Thomson of Re-Leased and Roger Weston of Saffery Champness on the use of cloud based software.

4. As RICS continues their work on data standards, listen to my recent Unissu session on why data is not the new oil  yet.

5. On 24 June, I will walking through the RICS Data Standard at another Unissu event – do join me then or catch up on the recording after the event

6. I’d like to shift the emphasis way from the technical to the ethical: as part of the RED Foundation, I contributed to their report on Data Ethics In Real Estate which explores the issues the sector needs to consider above and beyond GDPR.

7. I have also contributed to a paper on the theme of assurance of artificial intelligence with University College London, which examines the ethical and governance issues surrounding the use of such tools and methodologies across all sectors – a deep dive but an excellent piece on the subject.
