The main purpose of our World Regional Boards is to deliver the agreed RICS strategy at world regional level by overseeing plans and allocating resources to the nations within that region.
There are four World Regional Boards: Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and UK & Ireland. All Boards consist of RICS members and RICS Executives and can include non-members (independents). The World Regional Boards report to the Management Board.
Simon was appointed to the Gerald Eve Executive Board in 2007 as Strategy Partner and was appointed Senior Partner in 2015.
For most of his career he has worked in the City, initially with Cable & Wireless Plc and more recently with Wright Oliphant - a subsidiary of Hambros Bank. He is a Chartered Surveyor and has provided Real Estate advice to major corporates including JP Morgan, Carnival PLC, DMGT and Whitbread, as well as major landowners including the Grosvenor Estate, Land Securities and Standard Life.
He sits on the academic board of the University College of Estate Management and is a prominent figure within the property industry.
Peter has over thirty-five years of experience in the property tax field, serving clients in both real property and business personal property tax engagements. He has represented national and international clients with a wide array of properties including development land, complex industrial, commercial, industrial and hotels, multi-family, sports venues, resort properties, golf courses, telecommunication companies and retail.
Mr. Cheah is Head of Investment Management Asia Pacific at Union Investment Real Estate GmbH, managing acquisition and sales activities for the German real estate fund management company.
He has 30 years' experience in real estate, which he gained within the region and internationally across a range of different functions for companies including Pacific Star Group, The Ascott Group, Hudson Conway and Fletcher Constructions. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Building Construction Management. Mr. Cheah is also the Chair of the RICS Asia Pacific World Regional Board.
Susanne Eickermann-Riepe FRICS is also Chair of the Advisory Board at RICS Germany, a global professional body with over 130.000 members globally (www.rics.org) and Chair of the Board of the ICG Institute (www.icg-institute.de) which works on Standards, Values and Sustainability to improve good governance in the real estate industry. She had been a partner at PwC for nearly 20 years, headed the German Real Estate Business and was part of the EMEA and Global Leadership team. She works on innovations in the real estate industry with the IMPACT - format on the Builtword Leading Innovation platform (www.builtworld.com) and she works as an independent senior executive advisor and holds advisory board positions and supervisory board mandates like Non Executive Director at CTP NV (www.ctp.eu), listed on Euronext.
