FAQS for Professional Support Packages

Do I have to purchase the RICS Professional Qualification Support Package/Professional Development Package in order to fulfil my CPD requirements? 
Purchase of one of the Knowledge & Competence packages is not mandatory. All products included in the package are available to PAYG and RICS professionals can still consume CPD from other providers to fulfil their annual requirements. 

Who is eligible to purchase RICS Professional Qualification Support Package/Professional Development Package? 
The Professional Development Package is open to both RICS qualified members and non-members.  Please note different price points will apply as advertised.  Subscribers to the Professional Qualification Support Package must be enrolled as RICS candidates and be undertaking their APC.

How long will I have access to the RICS Professional Qualification Support Package/Professional Development Package? 
A subscription to each package shall be for a term of 12 months beginning on the date of sale of that subscription (or such term as stated within the order confirmation). Access to the package contents shall expire at the end of the Subscription Term subject to any renewal.

Can I purchase the Professional Qualification Support Package/Professional Development Package at any time? 
You are able to purchase the RICS Professional Qualification Support Package/Professional Development Package at any time throughout the year.

I currently have a payment plan in place for paying my membership subscription – can I do the same with payment for the Professional Qualification Support Package/Professional Development Package payment? 
No. The Professional Qualification Support Package/Professional Development Package is a single, in full payment.

What payment methods do you offer? 
We accept all major credit and debit cards. 

What is included in the Professional Qualification Support Package/Professional Development Package? 
The offer includes selected digital conferences, webinars, web classes and training courses at both a global and regional level. You will also have exclusive access to an archive of on demand recordings.  Further detail is available at rics.org.

Will I be charged VAT if I'm from outside the UK? 
If you're VAT exempt, please email us at commercialsupport@rics.org and we'll be happy to arrange access to the subscription.

I am a candidate but when I try to purchase the Professional Qualification Support Package it says I'm not eligible? 
The Professional Qualification Support Package is exclusive to RICS Candidates who are working towards their APC. Our system verifies that you are a RICS Candidate when purchasing. Please ensure that when you are purchasing the package that you are logged in to your online account associated with your RICS membership. If you believe you are experiencing an error please contact us via commercialsupport@rics.org.

How do I purchase on behalf of someone else?
It is possible to purchase the packages on behalf of someone but you will be required to provide details of the subscription users post purchase in order for them to gain access to the packages.  All Subscription Users will require an RICS account to be assigned to a package so please do ensure this is set up prior to completing your purchase.  In order to assign RICS Qualified Professionals to the Professional Development Package at the Member Rate you will be required to validate that they are members by providing their membership number when requested.  Please note when purchasing multiple packages for members and non-members, this will need to be done in two separate transactions.

Are discounts available for bulk purchases?
Discounts are available for multiple purchases of each subscription package.  Only one discount can be applied to the purchase of a Subscription and applications of any discount are at the discretion of RICS.  Please note when purchasing multiple packages for members and non-members, this will need to be done in two separate transactions and the relevant discount will apply to each transaction accordingly as outlined below.

Which languages are the Professional Qualification Support Package/Professional Development Package delivered in?
The Professional Development Package is mainly delivered in English. Parts of the service are also delivered with Mandarin, Spanish, German and French subtitles. The Professional Qualification Support Package is delivered in English and Mandarin.
