    3D Retail Economics Pty Ltd - Don Gilbert & GEM Lease Analytics Development Team

    GEM Lease Analytics is a web-based 'Software as a Service' that provides a comprehensive 'value discovery' tool for all stakeholders involved in retail leasing, including property owners/investors, valuers, banks, tribunals/courts and, of course, landlords & tenants. It provides a step-by-step process to collect and analyse retail lease evidence, benchmarks and financial data to evaluate what a reasonable rent for a specific lease and business might be. It employs multiple analysis methods to interrogate this 'body of evidence' and delivers easy-to-understand graphs supported by a straightforward report explaining the analysis. GEM Lease Analytics produces more consistent and accurate retail lease analyses than otherwise possible.

    The AECOM Quantity Surveying (QS) team continuously improves our approach to provide our clients and project teams with timely, robust evidence to make informed project cost-related decisions during the life cycle of a project to maximise value for money impact. Working collaboratively with the broader Victorian Heart Hospital team including design, contractor, client and stakeholders we managed to align the scope of works with a tight budget to establish a healthy project position that has been maintained through to the current 50% construction.

    The $1 billion+ Westmead Hospital Redevelopment project delivered upgraded infrastructure and state-of-the-art health facilities to satisfy the need for a modern, integrated healthcare precinct for Western Sydney. The Altus Group healthcare team were directly involved in establishing the overall project budget, which was maintained over the course of the project's detailed planning and delivery. The sheer size of the project and expanse of the site required highly accurate cost estimating, contingency and escalation cost allocation, and reliable, complex cost reporting. As the single Cost Manager across the entire project, effective coordination and management of many concurrent packages of work and stakeholders was required.

    The ADAPT Fund manages the AXA IM Alts Australian Hotel Portfolio. 2020 was a year of unprecedented challenges for the tourism sector. Establishing a world-class sporting bubble allowed Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) Hotels to remain open, delivering superior returns to forecast. It also meant the Womens Big Bash League (WBBL) took place providing employment for participants, sporting events for the public and the activation of SOP.
    Achieved by operating a COVID quarantine hotel and a sporting event that allowed guests to exercise, receive specific eating plans, attend sporting events and stay safe. This was only achieved with effective coordination with Cricket Australia, WBBL, government, Accor, the media and public.

    Comprising more than 60 dedicated and multi-skilled professionals, BGIS’ talented Projects team have been providing program and project management services in the Asia Pacific region for more than 17 years. In 2020, the team implemented the use of innovative construction technology when they delivered 14 new modular police stations for the NSW Police Force, as part of the Regional Small Police Stations Project. Constructed sustainably with recycled and recyclable materials, the new stations are prefabricated in Sydney and Melbourne, solar powered and easily and efficiently installed. The upgrades will improve accessibility, visibility and mobility of policing in remote and rural communities throughout New South Wales.

    In 2017, the sustainability experts at HFM Asset Management, a BGIS company, were commissioned to build the 1.3MW solar carport project at Primewest Broome Boulevard Shopping Centre in Western Australia, poised to be the biggest of its type in regional Australia. Power generated from the 3600 solar panels on the 8000m2 carport shade structure will feed back a limited amount into the power grid, and is expected to supply around 45 per cent of the shopping centre’s electricity needs when it is completed in late 2021, equivalent to 1540 tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum.

    The Building Approvals and Advice (BA&A) team have demonstrated outstanding dedication, collaboration and professionalism in the field of private residential certification. Over a time of significant change and challenge, the BA&A team of thirteen was supported by RICS guidance. Working together, ethical decisions were made and action plans devised, to help deliver excellence in customer service and best practice for digital transformation. Education to support clients, stakeholders and industry associations was innovatively delivered. With a passion for building safety worthy of celebration, this team worked hard to help ensure safer homes and pools for Queenslanders.

    CBRE's Building Consultancy team had a standout year in 2020 and, despite the headwinds of the pandemic, achieved exceptional client outcomes. This included completing technical due diligence to enable the acquisition of a major Melbourne shopping mall in a challenging retail climate and overcoming lockdown obstacles to complete vendor's due diligence and pave the way for a circa $1.5bn national, mixed-use portfolio offering. The team also launched an innovative reporting platform, giving clients real time access to portfolio-wide capital expenditure requirements and the potential to achieve major cost savings.

    CBRE - Advisory & Transaction Services - Occupier

    CBRE Advisory & Transaction Services (Occupier) achieved great outcomes for Myer and Goodyear.
    Myer's relocation demonstrated our ability to negotiate complex transactions - including in-depth financial analysis and Agreement for Lease negotiations - exceeding client targets on cost and flexibility. A clause for the landlord to cover Myer's rent in the event of building delays will also save Myer six months of gross rent, with construction ahead of schedule.
    Securing rent relief for 290 sites for Goodyear underlines the strength of the size of the CBRE's Occupier team. The operation worked together towards a common goal on a time-sensitive project, helping Goodyear minimise job losses and retain its retail footprint.

    CBRE - Supply Chain Advisory

    CBRE's Supply Chain Advisory team specialises in supply chain network design, inventory management, warehouse facility design and construction project delivery. The team managed an end-to-end supply chain transformation for leading Australian retailer Baby Bunting, resulting in a custom-designed distribution facility which will slash the group's supply chain costs. Delivering this project during the pandemic has supported the company's unprecedented growth, ensuring the retailer can effectively service its national footprint of stores and fulfill growing online orders. An innovative, staged expansion design, flexibility, and problem solving were key to the team delivering this exceptional client outcome.

    CBRE's Australian Hotels Valuation team is recognised industry wide as the largest and market leading team for its skills, diversity and professionalism. Arguably, the hotel sector was one of the most negatively impacted during the pandemic. However, through teamwork, innovation, professionalism, and superior client service, the team navigated this environment and provided strategies and solutions to ensure our clients' ongoing strength and success. This included the valuation of a high-profile asset, which stood up to intense scrutiny in the face of changing market conditions. The team also introduced NABERS rating in valuation reports to address sustainability issues in the hotel sector.

    In a year where our client Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) was facing unprecedented challenges in the wake of COVID-19, our Contract Management Team delivered excellence across all areas of management in 2020 including tenant relationship, financial performance, property and portfolio management and client relationship management. CI's effective management of the portfolio comprises over 2,500 individual leasing agreements and allowed TfNSW to fulfill its rental relief obligations during this time and continue focusing on its core business performance.

    Colliers is appointed by CBRE Global Investors, the Investment Manager for the building owner and anchor tenant, Zurich Australian Property Holdings of 118 Mount Street, North Sydney, to provide property and facilities management services. The newly built, A Grade commercial office building comprises approximately 21,000 sqm and is located in the thriving North Sydney CBD.
    Colliers was appointed to manage the building in December 2020 based on our excellent commissioning and transitioning track record as well as management of other A-grade buildings such as 52 Martin Place, Sydney. We have an integrated management approach focussing on sustainability, innovation, tenant engagement and maximising value.

    Our Colliers Tenant Advisory team accelerated Bunnings’ success, enabling confident decisions amidst pandemic uncertainty. The deal represents an outstanding outcome, being one of the largest office transactions to have been negotiated during the COVID-19 pandemic, with Bunnings securing 13,886sqm of office space and a further 928sqm of exclusive terraces.

    Building 3, Botanicca will provide an engaging and collaborative workplace experience for the Bunnings team, supported by a flexible and risk averse lease structure that enables Bunnings to easily respond to fluctuations both up and down in its future accommodation needs.

    The Colliers' Melbourne Metro Office Leasing team is comprised of 12 leasing agents, five support staff including Team and Personal Assistants, a Database Analyst and a Marketing Executive. They are the market leading Office Leasing team, consistently achieving excellent results on behalf of their clients and excelling during a difficult 2020. The team pride themselves on their professionalism, operating in accordance with a strong set of Office Leasing principles that incorporate the RICS ethical standards.

  • Nominated for: Building Consultancy Team of the Year

    In April 2020, Cushman & Wakefield's Building Consultancy team was engaged by The Salvation Army to undertake building condition assessments and provide capital and maintenance expenditure forecasts for multiple assets nationally.
    This project was a standout for the team as the diverse asset classes involved and the complexity of assessing the data presented a unique challenge. Our deep breadth of knowledge and experience enabled us to achieve the client's objectives successfully.
    The COVID-19 pandemic also presented additional challenges in physically assessing the assets which we were able to overcome by applying best practice learnings from HESSEQ experts.

    2020 was an extraordinary year that presented immense challenges to the property industry in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Cushman & Wakefield designed and launched the 6 Feet Office program to address the challenges around bringing workers back to the office after closures. This innovative and market leading initiative focused on creating a seamless return for occupants and the Safe Six principles were developed to address physical safety and mitigate anxiety about returning to the office. The significant public interest and media coverage of 6 Feet Office highlights the importance of the concept and the guidance businesses seek concerning future workplace environments.

    The nominee is the EY Real Estate Advisory Services team who were the Financial and Commercial advisors to the Queensland State Government’s BtR Pilot Project.
    The Project will create 440 full time construction jobs and a positive social impact with >240 affordable rentals for key workers improving their quality of life via the ability to live in better located, secure, long-term accommodation.
    EY’s market leading knowledge and expertise in the BtR sector, together with the teams professionalism, integrity, teamwork and innovative thinking led to significant interest from the market, a competitive process and a successful value for money outcome for the State’s first BtR Project.

  • Nominated for: Real Estate Advisory Team of the Year

    Franklin Shanks was engaged by Holding Redlich's Sydney office to develop a cost-neutral strategic plan to deliver suitable office premises to meet current and future business requirements.
    Franklin Shanks recommended leveraging existing market conditions and the extensive professional experience of their team to negotiate a new Lease with significant advantages for the client.  Using detailed research and comprehensive modelling, Franklin Shanks demonstrated the financial, practical and business advantages of the strategy.
    The outcome was a successful renegotiation of the lease at 25 Martin Place with minimal financial impact, minimal risk and disruption to business and maximum return on the upgrade of the existing premises.

    JLL is proud to submit our 2020 project representing the Victorian State Government agency Family Safety Victoria (FSV) in the search and acquisition of 11 hubs to support the Orange Door Network (family violence support service).
    JLL successfully secured 11 sites across regional and metropolitan Victoria within the required timeframe, allowing FSV to get on with the important task of establishing this critical social service. 
    This project highlighted the importance of finding the right space for our clients and how this can have a real impact on our communities.

    With experts in all major capital cities and deep relationships with key policy makers and stakeholders, JLL provides fast and quality advice to clients across all industries and sectors. JLL’s NSW Residential Advisory Services Team provide expert strategic advice across the sector, including valuation, buyer advocacy, quantity surveying and building and pest inspections in all cities and communities.

    This submission details the team’s excellence in the NSW 2020 National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) valuation and compliance project. The combination of JLL’s teamwork, deep market experience, extensive research, technical accounting expertise and financial analysis capabilities contributed to the success of the project.

    The Virtual Leasing Map transforms the way businesses search for office space, allowing clients to explore, experience, analyst and make more informed decisions around leasing and investment.
    While virtual tours have been growing in order to enable informed decisions around leasing or buying properties, this is the first product in the Australian office leasing space to showcase a range of office buildings available across every market, allowing you to filter by your preferred office grade, fit-out or size requirements.

  • Nominated for: Building Consultancy Team of the Year

    In late 2020, Knight Frank Building Consultancy were appointed by Charter Hall to undertake Technical Due Diligence and 10-year CAPEX & Maintenance reports on the acquisition of the Bunnings Retail Portfolio of 7 assets located across Australia and New Zealand.
    Despite COVID-19 work and travel restrictions and tight timeframes, Chris Barker MRICS and the team utilised state-based consultant partners and inspection and reporting technology to successfully delivered technical advice on the retail portfolio, comprising 140,000 sqm NLA, valued at circa $400 million.

    In early 2021, 171 Collins Street, a 33,000 sqm Premium-grade office tower in Melbourne, owned by a Joint Venture partnership between Cbus Property and Charter Hall and managed by Knight Frank, accomplished an Australian first, confirming a 'Triple-6' NABERS ranking of Energy, Water and Indoor Environment, supported by a 5.5 Star Water rating.
    These are the highest combined NABERS ratings in Australia and are further supported by the fact that the Energy rating was achieved without the use of green power. In addition, the Waste rating is the only 6-Star rating ever achieved in Australia and has been recorded at 171 Collins Street for two consecutive years.

    Mark Kilroy, CEO and Founder of Koste Group is passionate about property, educating clients on the benefits of tax deprecation. As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor for over 20 years, as well as a registered tax agent, Mark has used this knowledge and experience to develop industry tools; Tax Depreciation Management tool, C.O.D.E, and vKOSTE, a virtual site inspections app to assist clients in achieving maximum cash returns.
    Through these innovative tools, Mark looks to improve industry standards and client awareness of cost-saving opportunities. With the development of Kapal, clients can now manage their depreciation schedules as a live document and vKOSTE allows clients to continue with site inspections in a timely manner.

    The Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport project consists of a 23km driverless metro rail line, and will service Greater Western Sydney, supporting the development of the new Western Sydney International Airport. KPMG has provided cost planning and control services on this project since December 2016, supporting the feasibility, strategic and final business cases, and procurement stages, providing value for money outcomes, and implementing industry-leading portfolio level initiatives. The project received a 'strong' rating from the iNSW Gate 2 review for cost focused items, indicating: 'The cost planning process for this project ranks among the best the Review Team has seen'.

    Following one of the most devastating Bushfire seasons in Australia's history, Laing O'Rourke was selected by NSW Public Works Advisory to undertake the 2019/2020 NSW Bushfires Clean Up on behalf of the NSW and Commonwealth Governments. The pace, scope and scale of the project called for more than 3,500 fire-affected residential and commercial properties to be demolished and cleaned up within a 6-month period across the entire state of NSW during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project was unprecedented in terms of scale and has become one of the largest disaster recovery initiatives ever undertaken in Australia.

    m3property's dedicated Health team has gained a national reputation for their expertise in providing specialised valuation and consultancy advice on Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assets. The SDA sector is an emerging asset class and currently experiencing significant growth across Australia.
    The m3property Health team has demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning by developing an in-house SDA Valuation Model to meet the growing need for valuations of this property class, whilst maintaining a dedication to implementing valuation standards and best practice, resulting in greater national consistency and quality client outcomes.

    Health and Safety are two of the most fundamental aspects of any building structure and in fact are fundamental to life itself.
    Throughout this project this MBM Team is working collaboratively in a sustainably conscious way towards contributing to a safer teaching environment for staff, students and the public alike. Furthermore the reports they provide will serve as critical educational safety information for the present and future generations of these schools.
    This team effectively combines their in depth building pathology knowledge and utilises it for the greater good of health and safety in the education system.

    Uniting, ISS and MBM have partnered to submit this nomination for FM services for Uniting's Westmead campus. Uniting completed the multi-million-dollar redevelopment to ensure that it could continue to deliver contemporary residential aged care services that met local needs now and well into the future.

    Over and above this project this team has contributed towards the aged care society of Westmead providing a home away from home for its residents. Through this project MBM has had the chance to give back to a generation which has given us so much.

    In an age of a pandemic there has never been a more crucial time for the health industry.
    Amidst all the challenges of Covid-19 this team has come together, utilised their expertise and worked as a sustainably conscious unit to deliver projects such as hospitals and medical schools. Nothing is more important than family and health and the MBM team have demonstrated this. While working together, as part of the MBM family they have made a significant contribution to the health sector as we know it. It is with great pleasure we put forward this nomination to a well deserving team.

    North Projects - Clifton Creek Primary Team

    Our team was engaged by the VSBA to provide Quantity Surveying services on the Clifton Creek Primary School Rebuild. The school, located 300kms east of Melbourne, was destroyed during the fires that devastated East Gippsland during late 2019 and early 2020.

    North’s team delivered this project under challenging time and cost constraints. Through collaboration with the design team and client, innovative and sustainable solutions were developed, and the project is now under construction.

    The client and design team were pleased with the deliverables produced by North and the project is currently on track to deliver a vital piece of social infrastructure for the Clifton Creek Community.

    North Projects - North Projects Advisory (Mel-Con Project Team)

    North is a multi-disciplinary consultancy that collaborates and connects infrastructure and property with strategy advice and delivery.
    North's core team included Peter Endall as the Independent Certifier (IC) representative, Edward Aitken as the Commissioning Certifier, and Harry Lu as the Cost Certifier and Programme Assessor. The team successfully delivered the project in line with the base program to meet Practical Completion, despite the challenging conditions associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic.

    Plan1 PMC is a regulated RICS firm. Infosys' new home engenders a sophisticated, fun ecosystem of varied and unique spaces throughout. The innovative use of design and technology allows Infosys to foster a sense of community and enhance the continuous demand for learning for all, with dedicated collaboration zones, training rooms and experience centres. The use of local & indigenous artwork throughout the space acknowledges local talent. This project was within budget, meeting client timelines and to a high standard during the midst of a global pandemic and severe lockdowns.

    Preston Rowe Paterson is proud to nominate its SpeakVal product for the Innovation Award in the Specialist Teams Category of the 2021 RICS Awards.
    SpeakVal is a unique, technology based product that brings to life the overview of full valuation reports to clients groups who may, or may not be, of fay with property valuations.
    So many people who rely upon property valuation reports for decision making are not trained professionals. SpeakVal brings to life a means to draw a readers attention to important and aspects of the written report.
    SPeakVal does not replace the written report. We see it as a tool that enhances the user experience and makes the findings within a report more transparent.

    Programmed Facility Management (PFM) Western Australia (WA) have been delivering facility management (FM) services to the Perth Transport Authority for over 10 years, with a comprehensive FM service to over 45 non rail facilities in the Perth metropolitan area and extending regionally from Albany to Geraldton. Significantly for the state, the Joondalup Electric bus depot is the first of its kind, with anticipated completion at the end of 2021. 
    PFM WA is a leading provider of asset management, capital works and maintenance services not only to the Transperth contract but also successfully across a portfolio of government and private industry contracts throughout the state. PFM has a substantial footprint in Australia and New Zealand.

    Stuart G Marsay BSc MRICS, Managing Director, Property Inspections Sunshine Coast

    I have recently created a YouTube channel, to educate on building defects, check out 'property inspections Sunshine Coast. I have also written and published a book, which is available on Amazon titled The Inside Secrets to Building and Timber Pest Inspections: An Inspector's Guide. This has proven to be a great tool to market my business and skills. Word of mouth and testimonies that I use on my website are also integral in building business turnover. Meetings with both local conveyancers, real estate agents and buyers representatives also increase work, as it is important to be across  all available methods of communication.

    PwC's Project Management team for the successful delivery of the Central Acute Services Building (CASB) in the Westmead Health Precinct.
    The PwC team successfully delivered the state-of-the-art vision for the Westmead Health Precinct creating a liveable and workable health city that focuses on integrated healthcare, research and teaching whilst promoting staff and community engagement and wellbeing. The PwC team is a testament to the Project Management profession ensuring the delivery of the CASB project on time, to budget and to a high standard of quality.

    Quintessential Equity (QE) is a property private equity business specialising in the regeneration and development of commercial property. QE passionately leverages years of experience in capital raising and investor relations to redevelop and regenerate unloved depreciating assets, giving them a new lease on life. The ‘QE way’ is defined by integrity administered across all works, guided by the notion of not walking past something that is broken. The success of Master Fund No.1 developments 25-91 Bedford Street, 431 King William Street and 8 St George Terrace saw QE adopt a systems-based approach to achieve aesthetic and functional upgrades.

    KPMG were engaged in a sublease campaign for surplus space at their Sydney headquarters, but needed a better understanding of their space requirements, agility ratios and work practices. ResolveXO developed a bespoke analytical model to compare the different scenarios and minimise the capital outlay. Then COVID-19 hit. The timeframe was compressed, the analysis became more urgent (including two more cities) and all of it had to be done in lockdown. The team, in unprecedented circumstances, did an outstanding job. The analysis changed the way KPMG looked at their property requirements, changed their work practices and resulted in significant rent recovery.

    The 60 Martin Place project included the demolition of the existing 28 storey structure and the construction of a new 33 level premium grade commercial office building plus three levels of basement and roof plant areas. The highly unique project was complex, particularly with restrictions related to heritage, services, infrastructure and others imposed by the City of Sydney on important public domain spaces. This new building was designed with careful consideration of its impact on surrounding architecture and overshadowing with the northern façade cantilevering and curving over the neighbouring heritage St Stephen’s Uniting Church. With excellent stakeholder management and dedication, Savills navigated this award-winning building through the efforts of our formidable team.

    Sodexo in Australia employs a diverse workforce of over 5,000 employees operating across more than 250 locations. Sodexo delivers a unique array of over 100 integrated services lines across the following sectors: Corporate, Healthcare & Seniors, Education, Government Services and Energy & Resources both on and offshore.
    Sodexo successfully piloted assisted reality technology across a portfolio of remote facilities, increasing operational efficiency and achieving time, cost, and productivity savings.     Systech Australia provides responsive, high quality multi-disciplinary services to support the delivery of major construction, infrastructure and energy projects. Our team of professionals provides services over the full lifespan of projects - from bid to handover.
    Systech Australia was established in 2005 in Brisbane and have now expanded to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
    Systech Australia currently has a team of 50 employees which are mostly UK / Irish trained, are a mobile workforce and led by hands-on directors. This has resulted in creating a great team culture and one of the main reasons Systech International are one of the top leading consultancies globally.

    The Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre project involved the construction of a new state of the art aquatic and leisure centre in Sydney's inner-eastern suburb Zetland as part of the City of Sydney’s Green Square development project. It represents the largest aquatic complex built in Sydney since the 2000 Olympics.

    Turner & Townsend successfully delivered a state-of-the-art facility which features a 50m pool set within recreation areas inspired by Sydney’s ocean pools, a 25m pool with the third-largest moveable pool floor in the world, a kids’ water playground, hydrotherapy pool, gym, creche, café and sports field.

  • Nominated for: Sustainability Award

    The UTS Plastic-free food court team, made up of the Sustainability team, Project Management team, Commercial team, Marketing Communications Unit, Central Services, Activate student union and UTS student ambassadors, collaborated closely to deliver Australia's first plastic-free food court.
    This food court, in the 5 star Green Star UTS Central building, builds on the UTS Plastic-Free Plan and eliminates single-use plastics, responds to student and community aspirations and is a catalyst for broader change across the food retail industry to reduce plastic waste.
    The project demonstrates how teamwork, community consultation and creativity have translated into sustainable innovative solutions.

Individual Awards Finalists

  • Nominated for: Construction Professional of the Year

    Firas is an accredited certifier in NSW, a chartered professional engineer and a national registered engineer and in fire and mechanical engineering. He has extensive experience in providing performance solutions under the BCA for a wide-range of fire safety issues. As the technical manager of the Sydney office, Firas leads the communication with Fire and Rescue New South Wales
    (FRNSW). Almost, all of the projects that Firas works on are approved by FRNSW without delay in the handover of the projects 
    Firas serves as a committee member in three of the most important Standards-committees in the industry.

  • Nominated for: Construction Professional of the Year

    Carlos Castelblanco is a Senior Project Manager within the Project Management and Building Consultancy team at Knight Frank. Carlos oversaw the effective management of three flagship projects in the Melbourne CBD during the COVID-19 lockdowns; new workplaces for top-tier law firms Gilbert + Tobin and Ashurst, and a brand-new End of Trip Facilities and refurbishment of the ground floor lobby, lift lobbies and amenities over fourteen floors at 321 Exhibition Street for Invesco. Despite a number of challenges across all three projects due to COVID-19 causing market uncertainty and future workplace changes, Carlos delivered the multi-million dollar projects within budget, on behalf of very happy clients.

    Jag is a Co-founder of Plan1 a regulated RICS firm and a RICS member. Infosys' new home engenders a sophisticated, fun ecosystem of varied and unique spaces throughout. The innovative use of design and technology allows Infosys to foster a sense of community and enhance the continuous demand for learning for all, with dedicated collaboration zones, training rooms and experience centres. The use of local & indigenous artwork throughout the space acknowledges local talent. This project was within budget, meeting client timelines and to a high standard during the midst of a global pandemic and severe lockdowns.

  • Nominated for: Woman of the Built Environment Award and Young Achiever of the Year

    Eliza Owen is an economist who believes economics should be accessible to everyone, not just economists.
    CoreLogic Australia's Head of Research, Eliza has a wealth of experience in property data analysis and reporting. Eliza specialises in descriptive and inferential data analysis, data visualisation and framing data trends with broader economic concepts. Eliza has unpacked housing affordability on the TEDX stage, and is a regular commentator for The Australian, AFR, SMH/The Age and the ABC to name just a few. Eliza is also a popular keynote speaker, having presented to thousands across various industries interconnected with Australia's number one asset class.

  • Nominated for: Woman of the Built Environment Award

    Azza is an outstanding building professional, an example of how women can achieve in a male dominated industry.  She was the first Australian female to obtain MRICS as a Building Control Surveyor. She is passionate in mentoring disadvantaged students within STEM programs.
    She is a knowledge champion in ACP Cladding making presentations and advising clients on remediation of their real estate assets.  She participates in industry working groups reviewing ACP Cladding policies and procedures. She is part of the NSW Building Assurance Solution (BAS) platform team.
    In summary she is highly qualified, consistently high achieving; and committed to motivating and leading emerging talent. She is an outstanding ambassador to any industry body.

  • Nominated for: Woman of the Built Environment Award

    Penny began work on the Lindfield Learning Village for SINSW 2 years ago and was given the near impossible task of opening stage 2 of the school at the start of 2021 with an extremely tight programme. Working collaboratively with the Savills PM team, contractor on site, Client and school and providing critical advice Penny, and her team, were able to meet the difficult programme. Through her communicative style Penny naturally became a mentor for a number of staff on the project helping them to blossom and take on more responsibility in other projects post completion.

  • Nominated for: Woman of the Built Environment Award

    Kelly is Associate Director in Forensic Planning & Claims for Systech International for the last 7 years. Previous to this, she worked for Bouygues UK.
    Kelly is responsible for leading the Planning and Delay Analysis for various Projects and Disputes. She has worked on projects in, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, South Africa, Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Australia.
    She has the experience of working on major Engineering projects with different Contractors, has meant she has gained knowledge understanding the complex sequences required for these.

  • Nominated for: Young Achiever of the Year

    Alex joined Savills 3 years ago as a graduate and immediately began working on the 388 George Street project. Alex was tasked with contracts administration for the project but immediately set about learning and taking on greater responsibility. His eagerness to learn and not be afraid to ask questions meant his learning trajectory was steep and unrelenting. Such was this eagerness to learn, on his own will, identified and secured credits against council contributions for the inclusion of ESD initiatives saving the clients tens of thousands of dollars.
    Through his performance on the project, Alex was promoted to Project Manager and continues to be a highly-valued and well-respected individual that Savills Project Management are proud to call a colleague.

  • Nominated for: Young Achiever of the Year

    At just 20 years old, Isabella Carter is a Cadet Cost Manager for Turner & Townsend in Perth and has already made an outstanding contribution to the industry. She has quickly demonstrated a 'can do' attitude and efficiency and most recently proved this by simultaneously running two local government projects, contributing greatly to Perth's socio-economic development.
    While working almost full-time, Isabella also studies a full-time degree of Applied Science (Construction Management) at Curtin University and have obtained the highest mark in her cohort for her first-year studies, which was recognised through three high-profile industry awards.

  • Nominated for: Young Achiever of the Year

    Robert Madden from Madden & Associates Pty Ltd, is a young professional (26 years old) who is an Associate Director of Madden & Associates and was recently appointed a Director/Board Member of Newcastle Grammar School. Robert, has approximately 10 years experience in the construction industry since his entrance in 2012 and has undertaken work throughout UK, Europe and Australia and worked for many sector leading clients such as Charter House School, Sevenoaks School, ABBA, Regents Park Open Air Theatre, London Theatre Company & National Theatre. Robert has a very hard work ethic and strives to operate at the highest ethical standards while also delivering the highest level of service.
